Country music's royal couple, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, are back in the daily grind after enjoying a uniquely romantic wedding, followed by a few days of downtime in Oklahoma and a whirlwind trip to Reba McEntire's Cancun vacation home. Now, the new groom is revealing details about their Mexican getaway -- including some information a lot of you might prefer he had kept to himself.

"I surprised her and flew her down there with a couple friends of ours for three days of absolute crazy fun," Blake tells E! Online. "We got to experience everything: we got drunk, we ate too much, we got seasick one day, we got sunburned, I did a couple shots of salt water that I didn't mean to because the waves were hitting me too hard. We did everything you're supposed to do in Mexico ... including, I drank the water and had diarrhea."

Jason Jones, 'Ferris Wheel' -- Story Behind the Lyrics

Josh Kelley tries to write between 60-100 songs a year, and while plenty of them come from inspiring, emotional places and memories of his childhood growing up in Georgia, sometimes they can be inspired by nothing more than the memory of a bad date. Take the inspiration behind the song he penned with Rachel Thibodeaux and Kyle Jacobs, 'Ferris Wheel,' for instance. The tune, which is Jason Jones' debut single, was born out of a memory Josh recalled from a first date gone really wrong when he mixed one too many funnel cakes with a spinning midway ride. And though the song came out as a love song about falling in love under the stars at the county fair, it started out with the true, hilarious memory of vomiting on a first date!

"I wrote that song when I was thinking about back in the days when I used to go with my girl out to the county fairs in Augusta, Ga., and what's funny is the song has nothing to do with what I was actually thinking about when I was writing it. What I was thinking about when I was writing it, was that time I ate one of those funnel cakes and this girl made me get on one of those spinning things that starts spinning really, really fast, and starts going in different vertical directions, and I remember throwing up in front of her on this first date!

Happy birthday, Blake Shelton! The country and TV star turns 35 today (June 18). While the past twelve months have been good to him -- including marriage (to Miranda Lambert) and a role on NBC's hit show, 'The Voice' -- we have a feeling there are even better things in store for the multi-tasking superstar in the year to come. So to honor his big day, The Boot is counting down our pick for Blake's Top 10 songs.

10. 'Ol Red'

The third single from his self-titled debut album, this unconventional song about prison, a dog named Red and an escape to Tennessee was a Top 20 hit and remains a concert favorite. Blake wasn't the only singer fond of the tune -- George Jones recorded it in 1990, while Kenny Rogers followed suit three years later.

Eric Church Keeps His Country Rockin'

Eric Church has a lot to look forward to in the next few months. In addition to releasing his third studio album, 'Chief,' in July, he is also anticipating the arrival of his first child this fall. The singer-songwriter, who has made a name for himself with controversial songs like 'Smoke a Little Smoke' and his current single, 'Homeboy,' says he doesn't plan on toning down his music when his little boy is born.

"I don't think it's a bad boy side that I try to play," he tells Wisconsin's Post-Crescent. "It's who I am. A lot of people, especially in music, are programmed to tell you a certain thing or talk a certain way or have a certain image and appeal, and I've always just said what I thought and I've acted on that, too. I've never been one who really cared whether it helped or hurt my career. I was just always gonna be real about it."

Father's Day is Sunday (June 19), and many of your favorite country artists will be celebrating. The Boot compiled thoughts and stories on fatherhood from Tim McGraw,Brad PaisleyKeith UrbanCarrie UnderwoodTrace Adkins and more.

The father of two young daughters, Keith Urban talks about his own father and in what ways he influenced him toward a music career. "Dad was the reason that I'm here today. His record collection was what got me pointed me towards Nashville. He drove me to the music store to buy my first guitar. He was always extremely supportive of my music. I have a lot to be grateful to him for ... and [more than 40] years later, he's still married to my mum, and he's got two sons who love him. So I think that counts for a good job."

Lady Antebellum are starting to pull together their upcoming headline tour based around the song, 'We Owned the Night,' from their upcoming album.

"We took that title and made it into the present tense, 'We Own the Night,' as a call to action for our fans to live in this moment," Lady A's Dave Haywoodexplains to The Boot. "This is the same feeling we have as a band. With all the success that's come our way, we want to enjoy every single moment and not get caught in just the accolades. The reason we do what we do is for the people who come to see us and buy our records. We don't want to forget it and have it go away."
